Oahu Flowers

Nothing chases away the winter blues
like beautiful flowers
drenched in tropical sunshine.

Hibiscus

Like many others, the Ever~Patient and I
fled winter's cold and headed south.

  1. Gorgeous photos, Louise, thanks for this mental vacation, I really needed it! I love Hibiscus...the last couple of summers here in Montreal I remember some flowers not surviving well due to our extremely hot and humid conditions (lilacs dried out), many wilted, but the Hibiscus (although there weren't many here), survived as well as the lilies. Happy Easter to you. Sending you a hug.

  3. hibiscus, truly gorgeous. Did you fly right over Barb( One Good Thing)'s home, on the Breckenridge side ? Hope that dose of sun and salt has set you up till next time.

    1. Thanks, Jean! Barb's house is in the picture somewhere ~ below the ski slopes, moving up Ten Mile Range until the first break in the range from the bottom of the photo. She lives very near my sister-in-law. The sun and salt will keep me going until I hit the Bay of Fundy this summer in Nova Scotia! I can't stay away from the ocean too long! Have a great week!

  6. We went nine years ago in the summer. I thought it would be really hot, but it wasn't. Nice breeze. The beach and the neighborhood look familiar.

    1. I dreamed of going there so much when I was growing up, Martha. And then shortly after Terry and I were married, he took me there. You have your MAGITW, and so do I. We went a second time a year or two later, and then we hadn't been back in a very long time. In 2012 we went to my nephew and new niece's wedding on Waikiki, and that kick-started us into yearly trips. Hawaii feeds my soul. I do hope that you get to go! Happy Saturday to you! I hope that you are out having fun!
