If you live in the USA, then November puts you

Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Terry and I upped the craziness
by adding a trip to Las Vegas.

No, Cat, we didn't win a million,
but we snuggled up to $1,000,000!

  1. Sure lots to see and do there. Everything is lit up as they go for flash and try to get your cash. Did you win the jackpot and become millionaires while there? lol

Wow, you are popular. You even got Arnold visiting you haha dumb spammers.

    1. Bye, bye, Arnold! I zapped him into cyber oblivion. I got a kick out of your spammer post today. I hate them, but I quickly obliterate them. No we didn't become millionaires, but we did have our photos taken with a million dollars. I should have posted that photo! Maybe I'll go add it now! Have a good one!

    2. It took a bit of work, but I posted the photo. Terry said, "You should have told Pat "Yes, and here's the proof." LOL But I'd already posted my comment to you.

  2. So much to see there, Louise! I bet it is never boring. I love the huge fish tanks and beautiful fish, I find aquariums very soothing. Thank you so much for sharing this here, and I wanted to thank you for your friendship and support and kind comments on my blog, it really means so much to me. And it touches me deeply that you have also checked out some of my older posts. Warm hugs and much love to you. :)

    1. Dear, Linda! Your kind words mean so much. I feel so badly because I have been swamped by a medical issue and two busy trips, and I haven't gotten to visiting my best blogging friends' posts. I will get to yours later today. Love and hugs right back at you!

  3. Lots of great pictures but the one I like best is the two of you smiling. You two really know how to have fun together. And isn't that what it's all about? I'm getting caught up from the holiday. Don and I went to Las Vegas once with his family and it was all about the gambling. I hated that. I would much rather have just walked around..so much to see there.

    1. Oh, Peggy, I'm so far behind. I love your blog, but I haven't been visiting because of a medical issue and two busy trips. I will get to yours later today! If Vegas were just about the gambling, I would have gone once. For me, it's one of the funnest places in the world to people watch. Not to mention, the food, the shows. hiking in Red Rocks Canyon, but especially the fun we have with our friends and just being together. Hugs!

    1. Hi, TJ! I love getting out into Red Rock Canyon to hike as much as I can in Vegas. There are many, many trails and wonderful climbing rocks. I actually saw wild burros there once. Within an hour or two there are many natural places, starting with Zion National Park. I enjoy Vegas itself, but it is in nature that I feel most alive. Take care!

    1. I hadn't thought of that, Debra, but I'm sure you are right! LOL It is quite something to see all those Ben Franklins in stack after stack. Having your photograph taken at Binion's is always a fun thing to do for free! Have a great weekend, my friend!

  6. Some amazing shots! Nothing beats the beauty of the desert.

    1. Hey, Alex! The Red Rock Canyon area is one of the natural wonders in the Las Vegas area. I never get tired of going there. That woman was walking around with a whip over her shoulder looking for tourists to pose with for photos. I love to walk around Fremont Street and take candids of all that is going on. It is an amazing spot to people watch. There was a brief instant when the crowd parted and I could snap a photo. I moved so fast, that the one shot I got came out a little off focus. I realized that was a good thing because it gives the photo a feeling of motion and anonymity. If it had been sharply focused, I probably would have been uncomfortable posting it. I capture strangers in my photos, but I always try to be kind if I use the photos. Have a great weekend!

    1. Hi, Fil! Thank you for visiting our posts. I know some "hunters" have published an incomplete list of photos in the past, because of time limitations. The participants in the "hunt" are wonderfully accepting of what everyone does. I think all of them realize that we each have busy lives and do the best we can. I am just now getting around to visiting because this week has been crazy. Have a lovely weekend!

    1. I'm so sorry to hear that you have been experiencing health issues, Jill. I do hope that you are on the mend. It's good to see you back. Thanks for continuing to be a great host, despite your difficulties. I've never had a bad time in Vegas, and it always provides material for scavenger hunts. Feel better, and have a restful weekend!

  11. Some great photos. I really love those saddle bar stools, what a great idea. And that crazy building is the weirdest I think I've ever seen.

    1. Thank you, Tony! Las Vegas is the perfect place to find unusual and weird things. I go past this fascinating and controversial building every time I ride on the WAX bus from the airport to downtown. It's called the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, and it is a center for Alzheimer's patients and their families. Sometime I would like to visit it. Have a great weekend!

  13. Hi Lousie Well I have never been to Vagas and your photos certainly gave us a wonderful taste of it although for me I would prefer to see the magnificent mountains and area around it that you showed us. Loved all the fish, and the view from the plane and that is one crazy builiding you saw. Pity the million had not been yours but d o you really need it!!! A great fun post. Apparently my link was not working until yeterday so hope you will pop in and see my take on the words and read my continuing story about The Formidible Four. Have a wonderful Christmas, I am just off to spend it in Malawi with my family.

    1. Hi Margaret! I did find my way to your blog and caught the enjoyable second half of the Blondies and Gingernuts' story. The wild areas around Vegas are magnificent, and I've spend a lot of time in them. I don't really need a million, but I certainly do some good with it! Have a wonderful time in Malawi with your family over Christmas.
