Never a dull moment!
Our friend Jon, from San Diego, has been here for the past few days,
and we've been visiting all the casinos in Colorado for his YouTube series Hit 'em All.
He's on a quest to place a bet in EVERY casino in the USA ... one state at a time.

Terry and Jon have been friends for thirty years,
and we've had a lot of fun times over the decades.
We managed to get our upstairs in reasonable shape for a houseguest,
although our downstairs is still in chaos. π
Fortunately, Jon is family.
We've traveled through some beautiful spots in Colorado,
like the Woodland Park area outside of Colorado Springs pictured below.
It's fun to view Pikes Peak from its western side, rather from its familiar eastern side.

I'll be back next Friday with a real post.
I just wanted to touch bases and get back on track.
Happy weekend, Everyone!
Louise, it's great to be able to spend time with good friends and family. Beautiful photos. ❤️
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda! It is great to spend time with family and friends. We've just returned from seeing Jon off at Denver International Airport. Fortunately we'll see him again soon. π€ I hope all is well with you. ❤️
DeleteEvery casino? That will keep him busy! And don't worry, he's a dude - he probably didn't even notice the chaos.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a dude, and I hate chaos! π Life might be easier if I were a dude. Our friend Jon has been writing about casinos for longer than the 30 years we've known him. Doing a "Hit 'em All" YouTube is something fun and creative for him to do. He likes the challenge of learning a new format, and he has been writing songs for the posts. Have a great weekend!
DeleteEvery casino in the USA? That's quite a quest!
ReplyDeleteIt is, Debra! We all have our passions, and Jon's is unique. And it's fun to join him here and there on his journey. We had a lot of fun! All the best to you!
Delete...I'll stay clear of casinos, thank you!
ReplyDeleteCasinos aren't for everyone, I'll be the first to admit, Tom! When I was growing up, I never anticipated visiting Las Vegas and other casino places so much. I had seen Liberace on tv, and I had brief dreams of being a Las Vegas showgirl (based on photos I had seen in Dad's hidden "Playboy" magazines). π But I wasn't tall, skinny, or glamorous, so I grew up to study rocks which are way more interesting. I hope that you and your sweetie have a lovely weekend together!
DeleteInteresting travels to see all the casinos in the states... Not sure I would be up for that, but to each their own.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think that it would be your cup of tea, Jeff! π Visiting every casino in the US wouldn't be my quest, but I enjoy joining Jon on some of his adventures. We certainly had fun, and I learned some really interesting things. Enjoy your weekend!
DeleteGlad that you had fun with your friend. And friends who are family are the best kind.
ReplyDeleteHi Louise, thank you so much for your visits and kind comments on my blog π Thanks for the tip on how to upload a photo in Google. I will try this next week.I hope you have a wonder filled weekend, dear friend π§‘
ReplyDeletePrecious friend Louise π₯°
ReplyDeleteGlad you are back homeπ€
Always thinking of you my friend! Hope house renovation is complete soon . Having a guest during repairs can be challenging.but as you said Jon is family thankfully ☺️
His question sounds incredibly but testing too because it includes lots of travelling . Hope you are having great time with Terry and Jon π₯°
Looking forward to see glimpse of your renovated house π€
Health, peace and happiness to you and loved ones dear friend π₯°♥️π
Darn, even the hole in the wall ones? That is going to take FOREVER. Be fun to give a go though. I've only ever been to the halifax one.
ReplyDeleteI hope he wins lots of money so he can keep visiting casinos! I'm not a casino fan. I don't win and I get anxious thinking I'm going to lose. Maybe I need to change my attitude! I am going to have our first house guests in our new home, and I see a ton of work I need to do so it looks....clean? organized? safe?!!
ReplyDeleteI played Roulette for the first time just a bit ago.
ReplyDeleteI made small gains then bet big and lost my fifty bucks π

It's nice to have a friend/family that can come and stay a few day. Well if he is hitting every casino in the US I guess he will be in my town at some point. LOL
