I hope your new year of writing started off productively!
Mine ~ not so much.

I began with the highest optimism,
but I'm afraid I crashed and burned ~
so badly that I had to take a time out
from writing and blogging.

I'm okay myself, but life slammed me.
After my medical setback last November
and the consequently crunched holidays,
I had to take some time out to catch up with things at home.
I was losing my mind and beyond frustrated.

... Well, sometimes you just have to let go of expectations
and go with the flow, however choppy,

Am I discouraged?
When my computer, garage door spring, fridge, dishwasher,
vacuum, and cable service all ran amok in January,
I admit I pounded the kitchen counter
and shed some hot, frustrated tears!
But all is running smoothly now.

Starting on February 8th,
I have a three week block set aside for writing.
I can't wait!

Meanwhile I'm grateful for all the good in my life,
and am making the most of whatever life throws at me
this cold, blustery February.
