Every month the IWSG announces a question that members can answer
with advice, insight, a personal experience, or a story in their IWSG posts.
Or, the question can inspire members
if they aren't sure what to write about on IWSG Day.
Remember the question is optional.
This month's featured question is:
November is National Novel Writing Month. Have you ever participated? If not, why not?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Happy November, Everyone!
If you are celebrating American Thanksgiving this month,
I hope you have fun with family and friends and eat too much delicious food!
If not, have a great November!
This month's IWSG question is easier than last month's.
Good thing too, because if I've figured out the International Date Line correctly,
I'll be in Bay of Islands, New Zealand on IWSG Day.
So I'm writing this two days before we leave on an early flight to board our ship in Honolulu.
As you can imagine, I'm busy packing and getting ready to go.
I've participated in National Novel Writing Month at least twice,
also in two NANO camps.
I did so to push my writing count up, and it worked for sure,
because I hit the word count goals!
However, my participation really stressed me out.
November is typically a jam-packed month for me
with Thanksgiving, getting ready for Christmas, and family events.
April is less busy, but then I'm a Canadian beaver,
so busy is my usual mode ~ lol!
I'm not participating in NANO this year because I'm traveling.
I don't know at this point if I'll participate in NANO again.
As Terry always says to me, "We'll see."
I'm trying to get him to walk over the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge with me,
and he is still saying, "We'll see."
With or without him, I'm going over that bridge!
I'll visit around after I return home.
Enjoy IWSG Day! And a big thank you to the co-hosts!
Stay happy, healthy, and safe.
Fingers crossed that this publishes automatically when I'm on the other side of the world!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're having a super time in New Zealand! Oh, the photos you'll have when you get back!
ReplyDeleteWe'll see is a good approach. Have a fun trip in Australia. I've always wanted to visit there.
ReplyDeleteYou just have a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteHave a great trip! Sounds fantastic.
ReplyDeleteWe'll see is such a useful phrase. I hope you have a wonderful, wonderful time when you are in my part of the world.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful trip. I'm looking forward to see some pictures. Safe journey.
ReplyDeleteI've always wondered why they chose November for this contest. It's one of the busiest months for those of us in the US. I can't seem to log in to comment as myself. :-( C. Lee McKenzie
ReplyDeleteHave fun and take tons and tons of pics. Memories are the best. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, thank you for sharing your travels with us! I'd love to see photos of NZ :-)
ReplyDeleteWe'll look forward to hearing your stories when you return!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like Australia is going well. We'll all be anxious to hear more upon your return!
ReplyDeleteHaha you mean he wasn't Gung ho to walk across the top of the bridge from the get go? Shameful lol
ReplyDeleteNever bothered with nano as I did that challenge and more in a month when I was writing. These days I'm a busy beaver too though, so it might be more of a challenge.
If all goes right I may get a second Thanksgiving this year, says the guy who can't eat anything anyway lol
Hope you and Terry are enjoying your trip.
I kept reading it as NATO my brain is tired LOL
ReplyDeleteEeek that bridge lol...I think my response would be "We'll See" too!!! ☺☺
ReplyDeletewe will all look forward to your stories from this incredible trip. November is always too busy for me to participate in Nano
ReplyDeleteHope you have a relaxing trip. Never really understood the concept behind NaNo. I'm of the belief that if you're gonna write, you're gonna write and why stress yourself out to accomplish a goal of writing 50k words for a novel that may never see the light of day.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. I want that beaver, LOL I love seeing photos of you too. Hope you join in FFO. Enjoy your trip.
ReplyDeletethinking of you with heart full of prays and best wishes dear friend !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
