Home!!!

Home!!!

No matter where I travel,
it's always exciting to come HOME!!!

After ...

two ferry rides,

   a four hour plane ride,
Alaska Airlines in Anchorage

   a ten hour train ride,
Train from Denali to Anchorage

   twenty hours on bus trips,
 Bus from Seward to Denali

   seven days at sea,
Holland America's Zaandam on the Inside Passage
of Alaska and British Columbia

   3800.0 miles of driving,
3800 Miles or 6116 Kilometers

   and ...
one trip up and down a mountain
on a cable car (by me).
Heading up Mount Roberts in Juneau by Cable Car
1800 Feet or 549 Meters

Home feels soooo good!

But only for a few days.

I'm off in a week for Nova Scotia,
while Terry holds down the fort at home.
More dreams to chase.

Out of Westport, Brier Island, on the Bay of Fundy

In the short time I'm home,
I'll set up a few post commitments
and visit my blogging friends I've been missing!
See you shortly!

    1. Thanks, Alex! We had such a wonderful time. My twenty hours on a bus was actually three trips: ten, eight, and two hours on comfy buses. Hey, when you've done long bus rides in places like Costa Rica decades ago, these were great!

  8. Wow, what a trip! And you're off to the Maritimes in a week? My Rare One and I are off to the Maritimes on Thursday! We're going to drive around Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI and then over to Cape Breton Island. I'm so excited! We're having lunch on Monday with Jim and Ron too -- finally getting to meet the boys in person!
