It's been well over a year since I indulged in a little geologic humor.
If nobody gets these but me, at least I had a lot of laughs picking them out.

Now that's a landslide! Like the velociraptor one.
ReplyDeleteI had to put that one in because of my engineer brother. I like to tease him. My grandfather MacBeath was a civil engineer, so I think he would have gotten a kick out of it. Have a great weekend, my friend!
Deletehaha that rock being held up by the sticks wouldn't inspire confidence for me to go under it. My ocd would have to fix the library book shelves eventually.
ReplyDeleteHey, Pat, where you're at! I wouldn't go under that rock either! I absolutely loved the library shelves. I laugh at it every time I see it! Take care, my friend!
DeleteGreat humor!

Thanks, Jeff! Have a good one!
DeleteHa ha ha! Thanks for the laughs!
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are the library shelves, the ark, the evolution one, and the dinosaur with the spaceship. :)
Hi, Madeline! The evolution one was the last one I found, and it is deliciously funny! I hope that your weekend is great!
DeleteI know a job I would never do because that looks more terrifying than stressful.
ReplyDeleteI agree that that shovel operator job is terrifying. I've had to be rescued from the side of several cliffs during my life, sobbing I have to admit. I couldn't even watch that shovel job being done, and I love to watch construction work. All the best to you, Diane!
DeleteThese are all so great -- many laffs here! I think my fave is the cat naming the volcano, LOL!
ReplyDeleteHaHa! I immediately thought of you and HRH when I saw that funny, Debra! It's so funny and reminded me of many scientists I've known. Ah, Iceland! I will return! All the best to you and your Rare One!
DeleteThese are so fantastically funny, I need to maker sure our grandson ( almost a geologist , last year of MSc ) sees them. And to pick one, thinking of Josh and his possible moves, I will remember not to volunteer to help with those boxes full of rocks!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for Josh! He has picked an endlessly fascinating field of study, Jean! I would love to be starting out again as he is, especially in New Zealand which has marvelous geology. My best wishes to Josh, you, and Hugh!
DeleteWonderful humor, thanks so much.
ReplyDeleteI'm delighted that you enjoyed it, Joanne. Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment. All the best to you!
DeleteVery Gneiss! Geologic humor is among my favorites.
ReplyDeleteHaha ~ I'm not surprised to learn this, Geo! I'm so glad that you enjoyed the funnies! Take care, my friend! Hugs to you and Norma, and a favorite scratch to your four, four-footed visitors!
DeleteTo be honest, we're overdue for a raptor massacre.
ReplyDeleteWatch out for cassowaries, Adam! They can kill! They are the closest we have to raptors at this time.
DeleteHAHAHA! These were great. Thank you for the much needed smiles!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Martha! every so often I try to channel you and Debra. Have a great week!
DeleteThank you. What a wonderful post.
