Yesterday morning when I opened my eyes,
the first thing that greeted me
was my left cheek.
This morning when I opened my eyes,
the first things that greeted me
were my left cheek and nose.
And a horrified gasp from the E~P
when he walked into the bedroom
moments later.
Yes, I have to admit,
I am a scary sight indeed.
Why?
Little Shop of Horrors - Dentist Song
You tube ~ Keith Errington
Yes, my latest go round with my oral surgeon
has left me swollen,
black and blue and red,
and seriously misshapen.
I can see the left side of my face!!!!!
I'd post a photo,
but I don't want to give anyone a heart attack.
I am a sore sight for unsuspecting eyes.
I'll be back posting and visiting blogs in a few days.
I'm doing okay ~ really!
As long as my icepack, painkillers, and peridex
are close by.

ReplyDeleteAs a first-time visitor --and one who turned all sorts of impossible colors after a procedure last Spring-- I have decided to follow your very upbeat and instructive site. I too hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteOoh, so sorry. That does not sound like fun at all! I loved that you still have your sense of humor intact. Cute cartoons. Thanks for posting and keeping us informed. As they say. This too shall pass. Good luck.

ReplyDeleteI have a big appointment at the dentist on monday
ReplyDeleteI got off lightly at the dentist on Monday -- just a filling and a little headache later after the freezing came out. Sorry to hear of your dental woes. Heal up soon and feel better!
ReplyDeleteOuch! That's the wrong kind of "cheeky" to be, isn't it? Hope you feel better very soon.
ReplyDeleteGreat cartoons!
I'm sorry! Dentists are so cruel. I totally believe that last one.
ReplyDeleteHope your face returns to normal soon.
YIKES Louise! thanks for sparing us and I have instructed Ron NOT to see this post! He doesn't do well in the dentist's chair!!
ReplyDeletePlease look after yourself and rest to make it better.
Dentists are sadists take it from me....aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!
ReplyDeletePlease and Thank you
Take care and heal, not heel!
I'm sorry you are suffering. It certainly isn't fun. I do like all of the fun things you put up - I guess they are funny because we do identify with them! Ug! I hope you are feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteI hates Dentists...hates em to pieces.

ReplyDeleteLove ya,
Barb
Love you too, Barb! I have it from our two other sisters that you are working way too hard and stage manager for another play!!! We never learn, do we? I'm feeling better, although I can't smile big right now! Surgery didn't go according to plans ~ and I'll have to try all over again in three months! :( Oh well! Miss you!
DeleteLOL - I am run off my feet these days - I'm stage managing Gilbert & Sulivan's Pirates of Penzance & Lisa was in the Chorus

Barb
Oops - that should be the last time I SM'd this play Lisa was in the chorus!
DeleteOh Louise, I hope you're feeling back to normal by now!!! Those comics are hysterical....I especially like the last one. I'm a weirdo who has never minded the dentist. I saw that now but ask me again if I ever have any serious work done!!! XOXO
ReplyDeleteYou poor thing! Hope you are feeling better now. Love the pug picture! Thank you for your kind e-mails, I am doing well but have glued my fingers together for luck!!
